Victorian Footbridge
The historic covered Victorian Footbridge in the Village of Cambridge was constructed in 1890 by Florans Hoxie, and set over the Owl Kill as part of a pedestrian pathway from Main Street to the Rice Seed Company. It is 23 feet long and is of simple ëstringerí construction ornamented in the carpentersí Victorian style of the day. Benches were created mid-span.
The oldest covered footbridge in the North East, for over 130 years it has been a unique, prominent, defining streetscape feature of West Main Street.
